Debi Lander holds a master's degree in Exercise Physiology from Temple University, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and has numerous health and fitness certifications from national organizations. Debi is also the owner of Healthwise Fitness, Inc., a service company formed to provide fitness instruction, personalized coaching and wellness counseling.

In December 2000, Debi was awarded the status of IDEA Master Personal Fitness Trainer, the highest level of achievement possible granted by the IDEA Health and Fitness Association to industry professionals. In April 2002, Debi was among the speakers asked to present at the National Strength & Conditioning Association's Personal Trainer Clinic.

In 2003, Debi was named by Phil Kaplan as one of The Champion Personal Trainers in the US and asked to co-author a book entitled The Power of Champions. In 2004, Debi received The Fitness by Phone Lifestyle Achievement Award.

Debi has been called: "a motivational master who transforms those who "hate to exercise" into more self-confident healthy individuals." Debi combines personal training, telephone coaching, TV appearances and public speaking engagements to lead overweight individuals to fitness results.

Before moving to Jacksonville, FL, Debi worked as the exercise physiologist for The Johns Hopkins Weight Management Center in Baltimore, MD. She has been actively teaching some form of exercise since 1985.
